Calibrating Your Home Theater Speakers

One of the most important things to do to your home theater is to balance (or calibrate) the speakers. This involves aiming the speakers properly and then balancing the output levels of each individual speaker to each other. We show you the way to perform a basic speaker balancing act, but it is certainly not the best you can achieve – for that you need far more sophisticated testing equipment and should probably consult a pro to do it for you. Basic calibration is not rocket science and you may need some pointers to do this - plus one specific tool - a Sound Pressure Level meter (SPL).
